Every engagement below states what it includes, what it costs, what you need to provide, how long it takes, and exactly what you receive.
Open-ended design work is where projects stall. Scope drifts, revisions multiply, and the deliverable keeps moving. Each service here is built the opposite way — a fixed boundary, a fixed price, and a defined end.
If you are not sure which fits, start with the consultation. It is the smallest useful commitment and it credits toward a larger engagement booked within thirty days.

Service 01
Design Consultation
Sixty minutes on your actual rooms, with a written plan afterward.
Format: Video call, or in person in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area.
Length: 60 minutes.
Price:
What you provide before the call: Photographs of each room from at least two angles, rough dimensions including ceiling height and window placement, photographs of any furniture you intend to keep, and a short note on what is bothering you. Uploaded through the booking form.
What happens on the call: We work through your rooms in priority order. Layout, lighting, scale, color, and what to do with existing pieces. You can record it.
What you receive: A written summary within three business days — the decisions we made, a prioritized action list, and specific product direction with categories, dimensions, and price ranges.
What it does not include: A full shopping list with links, a to-scale floor plan, or ongoing availability after the call. Those are separate services.
Revisions: Not applicable. The deliverable is the summary of what was discussed.
Service 02
One-Room Shopping Board
A complete, shoppable plan for a single room, delivered as one document.
Format: Fully virtual. Available anywhere.
Turnaround: 10 business days from receipt of complete information.
Price:
What you provide: Room photographs from every corner, measured dimensions including window and door placement and ceiling height, photographs and dimensions of pieces you are keeping, your budget range for the room, and a short note on how the room is used.
What you receive
- A to-scale furniture layout for the room
- A visual board showing every recommended piece in context
- A product list with live purchase links, dimensions, and current prices
- Paint recommendations with specific manufacturer names and codes
- A rug specification with size and placement
- A lighting plan naming each fixture and its mounting height
- A suggested purchase order, so you can buy across several months without the room looking unfinished in between
Revisions: One round of revisions, submitted within fourteen days of delivery. Revisions cover substitutions and adjustments within the established direction — not a restart in a different style.
What it does not include: Ordering, purchasing, receiving, delivery coordination, or installation. You buy directly from the retailers. Some product links are affiliate links, which is disclosed on the delivered document.

Service 03
Room Layout Review
You have the furniture. The arrangement is the problem.
Format: Virtual. Written deliverable, no call required.
Turnaround: 5 business days.
Price:
What you provide: Photographs from every corner of the room, measured dimensions with window, door, outlet, and vent placement, and dimensions of every piece of furniture currently in the room.
What you receive: A to-scale layout drawing showing where each existing piece should sit, written reasoning for the arrangement, walkway and clearance measurements, and a note identifying any piece that is genuinely wrong for the room’s scale, with the correct dimensions to look for instead.
Revisions: One round, within fourteen days.
What it does not include: New product recommendations beyond noting where an existing piece does not fit.
Service 04
Paint & Finish Selection
For renovations and repaints, where the decisions are permanent and expensive.
Format: Virtual or in person in the Triangle area.
Turnaround: 7 business days after a 45-minute call.
Price:
What you provide: Photographs of every surface in question in natural daylight, a note on window orientation for each room, samples or photographs of any finish already committed to, and your contractor’s schedule if one exists.
What you receive: A finish schedule naming every selection by manufacturer and product code — wall and trim paint with sheen specified per surface, and where applicable tile, counter, flooring, cabinet finish, and hardware. Includes a sampling instruction sheet telling you exactly which samples to order and how to evaluate them in your own light before committing.
Revisions: One round, within fourteen days.
What it does not include: Ordering materials, contractor management, or site supervision.
Service 05
Sourcing Package
You know what the room needs. You do not want to spend forty hours finding it.
Format: Virtual.
Turnaround: Quoted per project after a scoping call.
Price: Quoted by scope.
What you provide: A defined brief — the pieces needed, dimensional constraints, a budget per piece, and any style direction already established.
What you receive: Three vetted options per piece, each with dimensions, materials, lead time, return policy, price, and a note on how it performs against your specific constraint. Presented in one comparison document.
Revisions: One additional round of options per piece if none of the first three work.
What it does not include: Purchasing, freight coordination, or receiving.
Service 06
Full-Service Design
Whole-house work and renovations, where the scope has to be built before the price can be.
Format: In person in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area, with virtual work between site visits.
Timeline: Established during scoping. Whole-house projects and renovations run in months, not weeks.
Price: Proposed after a discovery call.
How it begins: A 30-minute discovery call, at no charge, to determine whether the project is a fit. If it is, a written proposal follows with defined scope, phases, fee structure, and timeline. No work begins before a signed agreement and a deposit.
Typically includes: Space planning and layout, furniture and finish specification, lighting plans, paint and material schedules, procurement coordination where agreed, and installation oversight. The exact inclusions are set in the proposal — this list is illustrative rather than automatic.
Revisions: Defined per phase in the proposal, never unlimited.

Questions
Before you book.
Can we work together if I am not in North Carolina? Yes. Consultations, shopping boards, layout reviews, sourcing, and finish selection are all delivered virtually. Only full-service design requires proximity to the Triangle area.
How much should I budget for a room? It depends entirely on what you keep. A room where the seating and case goods stay and the work is lighting, a rug, paint, and styling is a fundamentally different number than a room being furnished from empty. The consultation will give you a realistic range for your specific room before you commit to anything larger.
Do you earn a commission on what you recommend? On some products, yes. Where a product link is an affiliate link, Victus may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is disclosed on every page and every deliverable where it applies, and it plays no part in what gets recommended. The full policy is at /affiliate-disclosure/.
What if I do not like the direction? Every service includes a revision round for exactly this reason. Revisions adjust within the established direction. If the initial direction is wrong at a fundamental level, that is a signal we mis-set expectations during intake, and it will be discussed directly rather than absorbed into endless revisions.
Do you buy the furniture for me? Not in the productized services. You purchase directly from retailers using the links provided. Procurement coordination can be included in full-service engagements when it is written into the proposal.
How long until I can start? Consultation availability is shown live on the booking calendar. Board and review turnaround times begin when complete information is received, not at booking — incomplete photographs and missing measurements are the most common cause of delay.
