How Victus Design Studio collects, uses, and protects your information. Plainly written, with your rights and how to exercise them.

This policy explains what information Victus Design Studio collects when you use www.victusdesignstudio.com/, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
It is written to be read. Where a term has a specific legal meaning, it is explained rather than assumed.

What you provide directly.
When you join the email list: your email address, and your first name if you provide it.
When you submit a contact or inquiry form: your name, email address, phone number if provided, and whatever you write in the message.
When you book a consultation: your name, email address, phone number, the rooms you want to discuss, and any photographs, measurements, or documents you upload.
When you buy a digital guide: your name, email address, billing address, and the details of your order. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never received or stored by Victus. No payments are processed through this site at this time, and no card details are collected or stored by Victus. This section will be updated before any checkout is enabled.
When you become a design client: the information necessary to carry out the work, including property details, photographs, measurements, budget information, and correspondence.
When you send a brand inquiry: your name, company, role, email, website, and project details.
What is collected when you visit.
Analytics. Pages visited, time on page, referring source, approximate location by city, device and browser type. This is used to understand which content is useful. No analytics platform is installed at this time. If one is added, this policy will be updated to name it and describe its retention settings before it goes live.
Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 8.
Affiliate link tracking. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer’s own tracking cookie is set by that retailer, not by Victus. Victus receives aggregate, anonymized reporting from affiliate networks — commissions and click counts — and does not receive your name, address, or payment details from any retailer.
Email engagement. Whether emails are opened and which links are clicked, used to measure what is worth sending. No third-party email marketing platform is connected. Subscriber addresses are stored on this website only, together with the date, time and IP address of the sign-up as a record of consent. No open or click tracking is in place.
No advertising or retargeting pixel is installed. There is no Meta Pixel, no Pinterest Tag and no Google Ads tag on this site.
What the information is used for.
- To deliver what you asked for: a guide, a booking, a download, an answer
- To carry out design services you have engaged
- To send email you have subscribed to, and only until you unsubscribe
- To process payments and keep required financial records
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site
- To respond to inquiries
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not: sell your personal information, rent or trade contact lists, add contact-form submissions to the marketing email list without a separate opt-in, or send marketing email to people who have not subscribed.
Service providers.
Information is shared only with the providers necessary to run the business, and only for that purpose. Each of the following categories must be completed with the actual provider names and linked to their own privacy policies:
- Website hosting and site platform: WordPress, self-hosted with Bluehost Web Hosting
- Email marketing: None — subscribers are stored on this website only
- Payment processing: None at this time
- Scheduling and booking: None — consultations are arranged by email following a contact form inquiry
- Analytics: None installed at this time
- File storage and document sharing: Google Workspace (Google LLC)
- Affiliate networks: None. Victus is not currently approved for or participating in any affiliate network, and affiliate links are not live on this site.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect legal rights.
Personal information is not sold. Victus does not sell or share personal information as those terms are used under California law. No advertising or retargeting pixels are installed on this site, and no affiliate network is currently active.
Retention.
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so you are not re-added
- Contact and inquiry submissions: 24 months
- Client project files: 7 years
- Order and payment records: as long as required by tax and accounting law 7 years
- Analytics data: per the platform’s retention setting not applicable while no analytics is installed
Cookies.
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:
Essential cookies — required for the site to function, including shopping cart and checkout. These cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are useful. Third-party cookies — set by embedded services such as the scheduler, the payment processor, and any social media embeds. Affiliate cookies — set by retailers when you click an affiliate link. These are set by the retailer, not by Victus.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent checkout from working.
This site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or retargeting cookies. WordPress sets a small number of functional cookies — for example, to keep a signed-in administrator signed in. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which discloses your IP address to Google but does not place a cookie.
Cookie information is kept on this page rather than in a separate cookie policy.
Your rights over your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information held about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of marketing email at any time
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these, email carolina@victusdesignstudio.com. A response will follow within 45 days We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Unsubscribing from email requires no request at all — the link is at the bottom of every email.
Victus Design Studio operates from North Carolina and serves visitors in the United States. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia and Texas — may have additional rights. Requests are honoured on the terms set out above regardless of which state you live in.
Children’s privacy.
This site is not directed to children under 13 and information is not knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has provided information, email carolina@victusdesignstudio.com and it will be deleted.
How information is protected.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information, including encrypted connections across the site, access controls on client files, and reliance on established providers for payment processing and data storage.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Do not send sensitive personal or financial information by email.
The site is served over HTTPS. Information is held in the website’s own database and in Google Workspace, both access-controlled, and is reachable only by studio personnel who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no absolute guarantee can be given.
Links to other sites.
This site links to retailers, including through affiliate links, and to social media platforms. Those sites have their own privacy policies and Victus is not responsible for their practices. Review the policy of any site you visit through a link here.
Changes to this policy.
This policy may be updated. The effective date at the top will change when it is. Material changes affecting how information is used will be communicated to email subscribers directly.
