Ideal client

Someone who has already made choices — a quote from another designer, a shopping cart, a paint deck, a contractor’s proposed layout — and wants a professional to tell her whether she is about to make an expensive mistake. Often she is spending $10K+ and wants $200 of insurance.

Fear of an irreversible, expensive error. This service is not creative; it is a verdict.

Exact deliverables

1. A written Second Opinion Review (PDF, 3–4 pages) covering:
   • What is working in the current plan and should be kept.
   • What will not work, with the specific reason (scale, proportion, light, traffic flow, finish conflict, durability).
   • A clear recommendation on each questioned item: Keep / Change / Reconsider, with a one-line rationale each.
   • Where relevant, 1–3 specific substitute products or finishes per changed item.
2. A “if you only change one thing” statement — the single highest-impact correction.
3. An optional 15-minute follow-up call to walk through the review (client’s choice; must be used within 14 days).

Required client inputs

• The plan under review: photos, screenshots of carts, a designer’s proposal, paint chips, a floor plan, or a mood board.
• Room photos and dimensions.
• The budget already committed and the budget remaining.
• The specific decision she is second-guessing.

Meeting requirements

None required. The optional 15-minute call is included but not mandatory — this service is deliberately asynchronous so it can be delivered in a evening block.

Turnaround

3 business days from receipt of complete inputs.

Revision limit

1 revision — clarification of the written review only, within 7 calendar days.

Explicitly out of scope

• Creating an alternative design.
• Full room sourcing.
• Evaluating a contractor’s pricing or construction bid (Victus is not a general contractor and does not review construction pricing).
• Any comment on another designer’s professional conduct — the review addresses design outcomes only.
• Legal, structural, code, or engineering opinions.
