Ideal client
A client whose room is full of good furniture arranged badly. Also: anyone with an awkward room — a long narrow living room, a room with four doorways, an open-plan space with no walls to anchor to.
Problem solved
The furniture is fine. The plan is wrong. She’s spent money and the room still doesn’t work, and she suspects the answer is not “buy more.”
Exact deliverables
- Two to-scale layout options (top-down diagrams, dimensioned) for the room, each annotated with:
- Why it works — traffic path, focal point, conversation distance, TV sightline.
- What it requires — what moves, what leaves, what (if anything) must be bought.
- A recommendation naming which of the two Carolina would choose and why.
- A gap list — the specific pieces the room is missing, with target dimensions for each (e.g., “rug, 9×12 minimum, low pile” — not a specific product).
- Rug and lighting sizing guidance for the room, since these are the two most commonly mis-sized items.
- A written walkthrough of how to physically execute the move, in order.
Required client inputs
- Room dimensions including ceiling height, all window and door locations and widths, door swing directions, outlet and switch locations, vent locations, and any built-ins.
- Dimensions of every piece of furniture that is staying (length × depth × height).
- Photos from all four corners.
- How the room is used and by how many people.
- TV size and whether its location is fixed.

Turnaround
5 business days from receipt of complete inputs.
Revision limit
1 revision — one adjusted layout based on client feedback, requested within 14 calendar days.
Explicitly out of scope
- Product sourcing or specific product recommendations (that’s Offer 3).
- Construction changes: moving walls, windows, doors, or plumbing.
- Structural, load-bearing, or code opinions of any kind.
- Electrical or lighting plans requiring an electrician’s scope.
- 3D renderings.
- Measuring the room — the client measures.
