Paint & Finish Consultation
A paint schedule for the whole house, with sheens and trim, so nothing has to be repainted twice.
Ideal client
Someone standing in front of a wall with eleven paint samples on it. Often pre-listing, pre-move-in, or mid-repaint. Also: anyone who has just discovered that the white they chose reads pink at 4pm.
Problem solved
Paint looks different in every house and nobody can predict it from a chip. The cost of getting it wrong is a full repaint.
Exact deliverables
- A Paint Schedule (PDF) listing, room by room: wall color, trim color, ceiling color, door color, and sheen for each — every one specified by brand, exact name, and code.
- Reasoning notes — why each color was chosen for that room’s light exposure and adjacencies, and what it will do at different times of day.
- Flow logic — how the colors relate as you move through the house, so the palette holds together.
- Sample instructions — which colors to sample, where to place the samples, and what to look at.
- Where applicable, coordinating hard finish call-outs: cabinet color, metal finish family, stain direction.
- One 30-minute live call to review the schedule and answer questions.
Required client inputs
- Photos of every room to be painted, taken at two different times of day (morning and late afternoon), with no filter and flash off.
- Compass direction each main window faces.
- Photos of all fixed elements staying: flooring, countertops, tile, cabinetry, stone, brick, fixed metals.
- Existing furniture and fabric photos for rooms that are staying furnished.
- Whether the client’s painter has a brand preference or account.
Meeting requirements
One 30-minute review call, included.
Turnaround
4 business days from receipt of complete inputs.
Revision limit
2 revisions. A revision is a swap of up to 3 colors, requested within 14 calendar days.
Explicitly out of scope
- Physical sample boards or drawdowns (client purchases samples; Victus can specify what to buy).
- On-site color review under the client’s actual light — that would be a local site-visit service, not currently offered.
- Color matching an existing unlabeled color (Victus can direct the client to a retailer’s matching service).
- Exterior color consultation unless explicitly purchased as part of scope.
- Guaranteeing appearance — paint reads differently in every room; sampling is the client’s responsibility and is required.
- Managing the painter.
