Ideal client

A homeowner with one empty or failing room, a real budget ($3K–$25K for the room), and no desire to shop. She wants a list she can buy from and be done.

Problem solved

The exhausting middle of decorating: knowing roughly what you want and having no idea which of 400 sofas is the right one, at the right scale, in the right fabric, that ships in under 12 weeks.

Exact deliverables

1. One Design Board (single PDF page, print-quality) showing every specified item photographed on a neutral field, arranged to communicate the room’s palette and material story.
2. A Shopping List (PDF + linked collection page) containing, for each item:
   • Product name, brand, retailer.
   • Exact dimensions.
   • Finish/color/fabric specified by name.
   • Quantity.
   • Current price at time of specification.
   • Direct purchase link (affiliate where an affiliate relationship exists, with disclosure).
   • A one-sentence note on why this piece — the design reasoning.
3. A Placement Diagram — a simple to-scale top-down layout showing where each piece goes. Hand-drafted-to-scale or built in a layout tool; not a CAD drawing.
4. Two alternates for the three highest-cost items, in case of stock issues or client hesitation.
5. A Buy Order — the sequence to purchase in, because rugs and case goods gate everything else.
6. A Styling Note — 1 page on how to finish the room once the furniture lands.

Required client inputs

• Accurate room dimensions including ceiling height, window sizes and heights from floor, door swings, and any radiator/vent/outlet locations.
• 8–15 photos: each wall, each corner, the view in, the view out.
• What is staying (with photos and dimensions of each retained piece).
• Total room budget, stated as a number.
• 5–10 inspiration images.
• Household realities: children, pets, allergies, how the room is actually used, and any accessibility needs.
• Lead-time tolerance — is a 14-week custom sofa acceptable or not.

Meeting requirements

One 30-minute kickoff call to confirm scope and budget before work starts. Optional 20-minute presentation call at delivery.

Turnaround

7–10 business days from receipt of complete inputs and kickoff call.

Revision limit

2 revisions. Round one may swap up to 5 items. Round two may swap up to 3 items. Revisions must be requested within 14 calendar days of delivery. Swapping the entire palette or changing the budget after delivery is a new engagement.

Explicitly out of scope

• Purchasing, ordering, order tracking, freight scheduling, or returns.
• Custom furniture design or millwork drawings.
• Window treatment fabrication or measurement (specification only — the client’s installer measures).
• Paint and finish selection for construction surfaces (that’s Offer 4 or Offer 6).
• Contractor or trade coordination.
• Installation or styling day.
• More than one room.
