These terms govern your use of www.victusdesignstudio.com/ and anything you purchase through it. By using the site, you agree to them.
They are written plainly. Where something limits your rights or ours, it says so directly rather than being buried.

Acceptable use.
You may browse this site, read the content, and buy what is offered. You may not:
- Copy, republish, or redistribute content, photographs, or guides without written permission
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or product data
- Use content to train a machine learning model without written permission
- Present the content as your own or resell it in any form
- Interfere with the site’s operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access
- Use the site for anything unlawful
Access may be restricted for anyone breaching these terms.
Who owns what.
All content on this site — written material, photographs, illustrations, guides, layouts, product selections, and the Victus Design Studio name and marks — belongs to Victus Design Studio or is used with permission. It is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may share a link to any page. You may quote a short passage with clear attribution and a link. You may not reproduce a full article, a photograph, or a guide, in any medium, without written permission.
Product photographs supplied by retailers or manufacturers remain the property of those companies and are used under the terms of the relevant affiliate program.

The nature of the advice here.
Content on this site is general design guidance. It is based on professional judgment and standard practice, but it is not tailored to your specific property, and following it is your decision.
Measurements must be verified. Dimensions, clearances, and sizing guidance reflect standard practice. Always measure your own space and confirm the dimensions of any product with the retailer before purchasing. Victus is not responsible for a purchase that does not fit.
This is not construction, engineering, electrical, or structural advice. Anything involving structure, electrical work, plumbing, gas, load-bearing walls, or building code requires a licensed professional. Nothing on this site substitutes for one, and any suggestion touching on such work must be reviewed by an appropriately licensed contractor or engineer before it is carried out.
Product information changes. Prices, availability, dimensions, and specifications shown here may be out of date. The retailer’s own listing is the authoritative source at the moment of purchase.
Buying a digital guide.
Digital guides are delivered by download immediately after purchase. Because they are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, all sales are final. This is stated on the product page, at checkout, and on the confirmation page.
If a file will not download, is corrupted, or is materially not what the product page described, contact carolina@victusdesignstudio.com and it will be fixed or refunded.
Guides are licensed for personal household use. They may not be resold, redistributed, shared publicly, or used in a commercial design practice.

Buying a design service.
Scope. Each service page states what is included, what you must provide, the turnaround time, the number of revisions, and the deliverable. That stated scope is what is being purchased.
Payment. Consultations are paid at booking. Other productized services are paid in full before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Full-service engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement and payment schedule.
Your inputs. Turnaround times begin when complete information is received, not at the point of payment. Incomplete photographs or missing measurements will delay delivery.
Revisions. Each service states its revision allowance. Revisions adjust within the established direction. A request to restart in a different direction is new work and is quoted separately.
Cancellation and rescheduling of consultations. As stated on the booking page: free rescheduling with 24 hours’ notice; full refund with more than 48 hours’ notice; 50 percent refund between 24 and 48 hours; no refund under 24 hours or for a no-show.
Refunds on completed services. Once a deliverable has been provided, the service has been performed and fees are non-refundable. Concerns about a deliverable should be raised within 14 days and will be addressed through the revision process.
Full-service engagements are governed by a separate written agreement which takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.
Affiliate relationships.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, and Victus may earn a commission on purchases made through them at no additional cost to you.
Purchases made through an affiliate link are transactions between you and that retailer. Victus is not a party to them and is not responsible for the retailer’s products, pricing, shipping, delivery, returns, warranties, or customer service. Any issue with an order must be taken up with the retailer.

Links to other sites.
This site links to retailers, manufacturers, service providers, and social platforms. Those sites are not controlled by Victus and their content, terms, and privacy practices are their own. Including a link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site.
Referrals to other professionals.
Where a contractor, tradesperson, or other service provider is recommended, that provider is an independent business. Victus is not responsible for their work, conduct, licensing, insurance, or agreements with you.
Verify licensing and insurance independently before engaging any provider. Where a referral relationship involves compensation, that is disclosed at the time of referral.
Email communications.
Subscribing means consenting to receive email from Victus Design Studio. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Contact-form and inquiry submissions are not added to the marketing list without a separate opt-in.
Photographs of client work.
Photographs of completed client work are published only with the client’s written permission.
Where a client provides photographs, measurements, or other material in the course of an engagement, they retain ownership of it and grant Victus permission to use it for the purpose of carrying out the work.
Renderings and concept images.
Images that are renderings, visualizations, concept images, or generated or substantially altered with artificial intelligence carry a visible label reading “Concept” or “Visualization.”
An image is never presented as a completed Victus client project unless it is a photograph of work actually carried out by this studio, published with the client’s permission.
The site is provided as it is.
This site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
No warranty is given that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content, pricing, or product information is complete, current, or accurate.
Limits on liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Victus Design Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or its content, including lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute goods or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim relating to this site or a purchase made through it is limited to the amount you paid Victus Design Studio for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, in which case those limitations may not apply to you.
Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Victus Design Studio from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of the rights of a third party.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before starting any formal proceeding, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter directly by contacting carolina@victusdesignstudio.com.
Changes.
These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top will change when they are. Continued use of the site after a change means acceptance of the updated terms. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
General.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Affiliate Disclosure, and Digital Product Policy, constitute the agreement between you and Victus Design Studio regarding use of this site. Design services engagements are additionally governed by a separate signed agreement, which takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.
Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
